Recorder Settings Encoders tab

The settings in the Encoders tab let you choose an encoder that AV VCSG Recorder will use to perform the recording tasks.

To change the Encoders settings, click the Encoder tab in the Recorder Settings dialog box.

Encoders tab has two display modes: Simple [default] and Advanced.

The Simple display mode:

To use the Simple display mode, clear the Advanced Mode checkbox (1) (see Fig 01).

In this mode, streams are classified into Voice/Music and Low/Medium/High quality. You can choose the type of the encoder but not the exact format. AV VCSG Recorder will automatically select the best format supported by the current encoder.

To select an encoder, double-click the stream groups, or click it and press the SPACEBAR or ENTER key. A shortcut menu will show up allowing you to choose one of the encoders that belong to the selected stream group.

Tips:
When a stream group is chosen, it will be in red text.

There are six predefined stream groups in the simple display mode:

To switch to the Advanced mode, select the Advanced Mode check box (1).

In the advanced mode, streams are specified into Mono/Stereo with the audio bit rates.

To select an encoder, double-click the stream group, or click it and press the SPACEBAR or ENTER key. A shortcut menu will appear allowing you to choose one of the encoders that belong to the selected encoder group.

Tips:
- When a stream group is chosen, it is red.
- Use the scroll button of your mouse to scroll the stream list.

Notes:

To close the Recorder Settings dialog box and apply the new settings, click OK.

To close the Recorder Settings dialog box without performing any changes, click Cancel.
