Player

AV VCSG has a built-in audio Player which allows you to play audio files with or without morphing effects. To display Player, click the Player button on the Main panel.

VCSG Player has two playing options: play single song and play a list of songs. The following table explains the functions of its controls.

Song controls:

(1) Composition information display

Presents information about the current playing file including its name, its playing elapsed time and its length.

(2) File Info display

Shows the audio format of the currently playing file regarding its file type, bit rates and frequency.

(3) Seek slider

Indicates the playing progress of the current playing item. You can move the slider to the point that you want the file to play.

(4) Speaker volume wheel control

Adjusts the volume of the output sound.

(5) Balance wheel control

Adjust the sound balance between the left and the right channels of the speaker/headphone.

(6) Play button

Starts playing the selected item in the playlist.

If you click this button when an item is playing, VCSG Player will start playing it from the beginning.

(7) Pause button

Pauses the currently playing item.

To resume playing, click this button again.

(8) Stop button

Stops playing the selected item.

(9) Open from disk button

Browses for a sound file to play back.

When you click this button, the Open dialog box will appear. After you select a sound file and click Open, the file will automatically be played.

(10) Previous button

Stops playing the current item and plays the previous one in the Playlist.

- If the current item is the first in the playlist, and the Repeat mode is off, the current item will be stopped playing. Or else, the last item in the playlist will be played.

- If the Shuffle mode is on, items in playlist are played at random order.

(11) Repeat button

Turns on/off the Repeat mode.

If the Repeat mode is ON, VCSG Player will play the playlist repeatedly.

(12) Shuffle mode button

Turns on/off the Shuffle mode.

When the Shuffle mode is ON, items in the playlist are played at random order.

(13) Next button

Stops playing the current item and plays the next item in the playlist.

- If the current item is the last in the playlist, and the Repeat mode is off, the current item will be stopped playing. Or else, the first item in the playlist will be played.

- If the Shuffle mode is on, items in playlist are played at random order.

 
Playlist controls:

(1) Group of buttons used for playlists

New playlist button

Creates a new playlist. Playlist is in .m3u format.

Add playlist button

Loads a pre-saved playlist into VCSG Player to start playing.

Rename playlist button

Renames the selected playlist shown in the Playlist select box (2).

Del playlist button

Deletes the selected playlist shown in the Playlist select box (2).

(2) Playlist select box

Shows a list of loaded playlists in VCSG Player for user to choose.

 

(3) Group of buttons used for songs in playlist

Add file button

Adds a file to the current playlist. You may also use drag-and-drop to add files to the playlist..

Del file button

Removes the selected file from the current playlist.

Move file button

Moves the item from the current playlist to another playlist. This button works with loaded playlists only.

Copy file button

Copies the item from the current playlist to another playlist. This button works with loaded playlists only.

(4) Item List pane

Lists all the audio files in the playing playlist, including two information: the file name and file time length. You may use drag-and-drop to add files to the playlist.

Playing item is in red text.

Notes:

When you select a playlist, VCSG Player will refresh the content of the playlist.

VCSG Player comes with the built-in playlist predefined by VCSG Recorder. When the Recorder completes a task, the new record will be automatically saved in this playlist.

The built-in VCSG Recorder's predefined playlist cannot be renamed or deleted.

VCSG Player's playlists are saved in .m3u format.

Tips:

You can set VCSG to morph or not the files played by VCSG Player by changing the preference settings of AV VCSG.

How?

On Main panel, click the References menu choose the Common tab check Process VCSG Player in morpher OK.
